For over a decade, Alba has developed methods and processes to provide strategic and competitive intelligence to university research enterprises. As a consultant, she now applies her knowledge and experience to enhance the research capabilities of universities. Alba specializes in bibliometrics, capacity/competency analysis, landscape analysis, and corporate engagement strategy. Her interests also include foresight analysis.

In addition to her consulting work, Alba serves as a Policy and Planning Analyst at the College of Letters and Science at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Alba received her PhD from Ohio State in Agronomy, with a major in Soil Physics and a minor in Statistics. She completed her postdoctoral training at the Ohio Agricultural Research and Development Center (OARDC) on Ohio State’s Wooster campus.
