Kim Beaty is Waymaker’s Operations and Project Management Specialist. Kim has more than 10 years of experience working to optimize equitable systems in alignment with strategic visions and social impact.
Kim’s work has taken her from the townships of Cape Town, South Africa, to the innovation spaces in the Boston area, including Cambridge Innovation Center (CIC), Artisan’s Asylum, and Commonwealth Kitchen. While at CIC, a global leader in shared office/coworking spaces, she helped launch CIC’s largest expansion project in Cambridge, MA, and curated 26 community kitchen spaces. Most recently, Kim was recruited to CIC Health, formed by CIC during the pandemic to provide rapid, accessible COVID-19 testing solutions nationally. Kim led the testing programs for the State of Vermont, CIC Health’s largest statewide contract, working alongside private, public, and government leaders in an unprecedented, collaborative initiative.
Kim got her start in the food industry. She trained as a pastry chef after earning her BSBA from Northeastern University. She has engaged in a wide range of industry roles, from local cider production to specialty food/cheese imports. Her family’s roots stem from the farmlands of Indiana and she is excited to be supporting similar towns and cities across middle America.
